As global capital flows recalibrate in a new era of geopolitical flux and technological acceleration, Reynold Lemkins was honored to participate in the Greenwich Economic Forum (GEF) Hong Kong, held at the iconic Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX).

Against this strategic backdrop, our team joined global leaders and institutional investors to exchange insights on the future of family office capital, cross-border innovation, and Asia’s rising role in the next cycle of global economic growth.

Capital Meets Innovation: Key Themes from GEF 2025

Under the broader banner of Global Wealth & Legacy Week, GEF Hong Kong served as a powerful convergence point of perspectives from global financial leaders, family offices, and policymakers. Panels explored the role of Asia — particularly Hong Kong — as a capital allocation hub for the coming decade.

Our team at Reynold Lemkins contributed actively to these conversations:

Family Office Investment in a Transitional Market

Kris Liu, President of Reynold Lemkins’ China Region & Chief Investment Officer, was invited to speak on the panel “Family Office Investment Perspectives”, alongside representatives from Lingotto Innovation, InvestHK, and HKEX. The session was moderated by Tae Yoo, Managing Director at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

“Our investment approach is rooted not just in capital deployment, but in supporting a company’s entry into long-duration value creation. Especially for late-stage or IPO-ready biotech and AI companies, this requires a partner who understands both the scientific journey and the cross-border regulatory roadmap.” — Kris Liu

Our Cross-Border Thesis in Action

Kris also highlighted RL’s participation in the IPO of VISEN Pharmaceuticals (HKEX: 02561), a milestone demonstrating our long-term commitment to backing science-driven, growth-stage companies positioned to scale in Asia. This investment reflects RL’s broader thesis: supporting firms that sit at the intersection of therapeutics, AI, and commercial scalability in Asia.

Why Hong Kong Matters for the Next Investment Cycle

As discussed at the forum, Hong Kong is regaining momentum as a unique node in global capital markets — especially for sectors like healthcare, deep tech, and sustainability. RL views the city as a key launchpad for global companies looking to expand into Asia, as well as for Asian innovators seeking international validation and capital access.

With deepening liquidity, robust infrastructure, and renewed policy signals (such as the 18C listing reforms), Hong Kong is well positioned to attract long-duration capital and sophisticated investor participation.

We thank the Greenwich Economic Forum and its co-hosts for the opportunity to engage at this level and to contribute to shaping a more connected and resilient global investment landscape.
